Philosophy of Education
We live in a competitive world. Can educators prepare students to succeed in this social climate? Education is the key to unlock many doors. Yet, no longer can we be complacent with basic or average academic competence. Students need an advance level of education that will fit them for leadership and success in our world. I believe that several factors will contribute to a high level of scholastic achievement. These factors are:
Social adaptation Process of emotional maturity Team work
Social adaptation and respect for rules create a suitable environment for teaching and learning. This is an important feature in the drive to encourage scholastic endeavors. Ultimately, this will lead to educated and emotionally grounded students.
Therefore, it is my firm belief that, my expertise and experience will enable me to facilitate the educating of our students. I do not propose to have all the answers. That is why, collaboration among the school community, families, teachers ands staff will be crucial to a school’s success. This alliance will lay the ground work for cohesiveness and support. As the saying goes, “no man is an island, no man stands alone.”
In conclusion, I am ready and able to assist in preparing our students for the college level. Students in my care will learn higher order thinking skills, effective communication strategies and gain new experiences through vicarious knowledge.
“We can raise the bar for our students to achieve more.” ( Campbell 2007.)
